Though we didn't personally use it. The pool looked nice; a good size and clean.
-The bathroom had a strong and weird odor. Room 129.
Lovely King room. Didn't book ahead and was treated very kindly. The room was very clean, everything worked, and was well maintained. The king bed was super comfortable. I would recommend a stay here. Very good value..and there was a pool that looked very inviting. There was a nice Mexican restaurant across the parking lot which was very good.
Breakfast was standard hotel fare- waffles, cereal, toast, yogurt and coffee/juice.
So all in all, it was okay. The staff wasn't especially friendly, it's in a great location, we pretty much just slept and swam here, so it was fine.
-We got a knock on the door at 9am asking when we were going to check out. Their check out time is 11am. When we did check out, we were told this is not usual policy and that they had someone new who was still learning. Fair enough.
-Check in was quick.
Great place to stay in a small town. Friendly staff, who nicely let us check in a bit early as there is little to do in Delta and it was a very hot day.
We would stay here again if we are ever back in the area.
-We checked in for two days but while we were out hiking for the day (and out of range), they called us and asked us why our stuff was still in the room when we were only staying one day. (We had checked in for two.)
Notes:
Pros:
Clean and well maintained. Fridge\micro/coffee in room. Personal was friendly. They give senior discounts which helps us a great deal since we travel a lot.Continental breakfast was good however the coffee was not so good
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only problem we had was the fan in the bathroom did not work. Not a big deal.
UPDATE: October 2017. Hotel under new management and does not respect loyal guests. An older couple, who has been staying at the hotel for 12 years, whenever they come to town for a local show, was turned away. Why? Because they wished to pay strictly with cash. The older couple had always paid cash. I know the couple because they present at the same show as me and had been doing so for 12 years. Staying at the same hotel. New management wouldn't take them. The new manager didn't even care to know who they were and yelled at them, literally, for not paying with a card, which is how I found out about the situation. So... Not worth it. There is another place in town to stay, go there. It is smaller, a local family owned place and they do take care of their guests, remembering them. I will be staying there from now on.
-The pool was awesome!
-There was plenty of parking.
Cons:
Best hotel in Delta, and clean. Beds not as comfortable as we would like but friendly staff. Mexican restaurant across the street and movie theater is 2min walk from hotel. 2 Museums are within 2 minutes drive. Folks, it's the middle of nowhere so don't expect the Taj Mahal or big city elegance. Think simple and you will be fine.
