What an incredible experience to learn about a piece of American history. It was amazing to watch videos about and read actual testimonies of those who were relocated to the Topaz Internment Camp. Principles expressed in the museum are still incredibly relevant today, some 70 odd years later. This place is a real eye opener, mind opener, and heart opener to the lives of fellow Americans.

A Still incomplete museum, however it is growing daily. It tells of the Japanese interment by the US government at the outbreak of WW II. An interpretive film that each visitor should see at least once will Enrich your understanding of the forgotten plight of those people. Explains about all the US interment campus during the time but mainly focuses on the Topaz camp. Well worth the time.

This museum is very well-done. It even has an original barracks from the internment camp outside so you can feel what it would have been like to live there (I went in the summer, so I could feel how hot it would have gotten inside). The museum does a good job at making you think. It gave me a greater appreciation for what people in the internment camps went through.

Very nice brand new museum of the unfortunate Topaz experience. Lots of interesting information and actual artifacts, including part of one of the original buildings that was relocated to the museum site. Great Basin Museum next door is also worth the time to visit.

I took my students on a field trip her as it is an amazing museum for those interested in learning more about the period of Japanese internment in Utah. The actual site of the camp is about 20 minutes away from the museum and the only remnant of the structures are concrete pads. When we went though some of the staff was amazing, but others did not seem to have much experience dealing with adolescents as evidenced by interactions.
