Old and interesting. I rate 3 stars because the placard outside the fort gives very little information. I had to search online to find basic information to place the fort in context. It's incredible that the walls are still standing 150 years after they were built! Definitely an interesting stop on your way through.

For a historic location this fort is in a great state of decay. Careful! Fire ants have made this location their home. Nice big parking space (not paved, could use grading). No restroom. Historic marker wasn't verbose.

The ruins are interesting, but it would be nice if more info was available

Accidentally ran into this place on the way home. Quick roadside attraction about the fort and it's construction. You can walk all around inside and out side the fort and see the holes they shot the guns out of. Probably a 5-10 minute stop for most.
